Principal & Dance Teacher, Danspirations
Claire Spence is the founder and principal of Danspirations, a professional dance school based in Aberdeen, established in 2019 and affiliated with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD). Claire began dancing at age three at the Edith Duncan MBE School of Dance in Aberdeen, went on to win the Scottish Championship and a British Scholarship, and trained vocationally at The Hammond School in Chester, graduating with a Diploma in Professional Dance. Her professional career took her around the world -- dancing on international tours, on cruise ships and in UK pantomimes, during which she served as Dance Captain, developing her choreographic eye and leadership skills. Now back in Aberdeen, Claire teaches children and adults of all ages across Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Highland and FitSteps, and offers bespoke first dance lessons for wedding couples of all abilities. Every first dance routine is built around the couple's chosen music and vision -- whether a simple twirl or a fully choreographed show-stopping performance.
