The Conway Family

The Conway family are the principals of Newcastle Dance Centre, a family-run institution established in 1931 and now in its third generation of family ownership. Principals Michael Conway, Mavis Whiteside and Hayley Conway lead a large team of highly qualified dance teachers at the studio on Grainger Park Road, Newcastle NE4. Over its 93-year history, the centre has taught generations of Newcastle dancers -- including Geordie icons Cheryl and Ant and Dec. The studio holds memberships with UKA Dance, IDTA, Guild of Professional Dance Teachers, the British Dance Council, BDSA, Sport and Recreation Alliance, Theatre Dance Council International and CDMT. For wedding couples, Newcastle Dance Centre offers fully bespoke choreography tailored to the couple's chosen music and style, from a simple confident routine to a full performance with music editing and mixing. Private lessons take place in a private room at the studio, which has its own free car park. Same-sex couples are explicitly and enthusiastically welcomed. Lessons are priced at £40 per couple per 55 minutes.
