Ian & Jannine

Ian and Jannine are the founders of NuSteps Dance, a professional ballroom and Latin dance school with six venues across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. Both began dancing at age 6. Ian competed nationally throughout his career and performed as a dancer and teacher on cruise ships; Jannine competed on the open circuit, winning the UK 10 Dance Championship vice champion title, reaching the finals of the British and UK Ballroom Championships, and representing England at both the World and European 10 Dance Championships. In 2015 they teamed up to coach the Leicester University Dancesport team, leading them to significant success on the university competition circuit. Both are IDTA qualified and DBS checked. For wedding couples, NuSteps offers four packages ranging from a single 1.5-hour lesson through to five lessons of 5.5 hours total, with the first session taught by two teachers together to give couples the best possible start. Venues span Awsworth and Mapperley in Nottinghamshire, Stanley Common in Derbyshire, Risley Village Hall in Derby, Thornton in Leicestershire, and Ilkeston.
