Mark Rowbottom is the founder and principal of Steppin Out Dance Centre in Bury, Greater Manchester. Mark began dancing at age 8, competing nationally from age 9 at events including the Open British Championships at the Tower Ballroom Blackpool and the International Championships at the Royal Albert Hall. He has won the City of Salford Ten Dance, City of Manchester Ballroom and Latin, and Avon Latin Championships, and represented Birmingham in the 1991 BBC series of Come Dancing, reaching the semi-finals. At 23 he turned professional and in 1997 opened Steppin Out Dance Centre, where he has since taught and choreographed in Ballroom, Latin, Freestyle, Hip Hop, Line Dancing, Salsa, American Smooth, Sequence and Argentine Tango. He has trained a number of pupils to professional level and is a Championship Adjudicator. Mark specialises in wedding first dance choreography, with an approach that is patient, structured and tailored entirely to each couple's chosen music and comfort level.
